FABRICATED FOAM PACKAGING

CROSSLINKED POLYETHYLENE FOAM

Crosslinked polyethylene foam, also known as XLPE, Microcell, Microcell and Volara™, is a flexible, closed-cell type of polyethylene foam that has a near-infinite amount of applications due to the following characteristics:

Crosslinked polyethylene foam is an aesthetically pleasing material that provides a wide range of performance benchmarks.

Crosslinked polyethylene foam has been chemically crosslinked; solidifying in a smooth uniform plank with massive aesthetic appeal and superior physical and chemical characteristics; compared to conventional polyethylene.

Crosslinked polyethylene foam has many of the same characteristics as conventional polyethylene foam except that crosslinked polyethylene foam has the capacity to protect class “A” surfaces.

Microcell™, Volara™ and Zotefoams™ branded crosslinked polyethylene foam can be laminated, embossed, thermoformed, die-cut, sewn, printed and pressure sensitive adhesive coated.

In addition to fabricating crosslinked polyethylene foam to custom designed specifications, New England Foam stocks crosslinked polyethylene foam in bun, plank, roll and sheetforms, in densities ranging from 2 to 4 pounds per cubic foot (PCF) and those colors most requested: black, natural, blue, yellow and red.

Additional densities and custom colors are available upon request, as well as anti-static, conductive and fire retardant (FR) types of crosslinked polyethylene foam.

EXPANDED POLYETHYLENE FOAM

Expanded polyethylene foam, also known as EPE, is a molded semi-rigid, non-crosslinked and closed-cell type of polyethylene foam that has a near-infinite amount of applications due to the following characteristics:

In addition to fabricating expanded polyethylene foam (EPE) to custom designed specifications, New England Foam stocks expanded polyethylene foam (EPE) in plank and sheet forms and in densities ranging from 1.3 to 4.2 pounds per cubic foot (PCF) and those colors most requested: black and white.
